Obituary of Jessie Elizabeth Donaghy

Jessie Elizabeth Donaghy, 85 years old, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Saturday, September 29, 2018. Born in Harcout, N.B., Jessie was the daughter of the late Charles and Alice (McCleary) Agnew. In her early years, she enjoyed working at Laura Secord at Champlain Mall, then dedicated nearly three decades as a Brownie leader with the Girl Guides of Canada. She was also an active member at Central United Church and with the United Church Women of Canada. Her truest pleasure was raising and caring for her family at home. She is survived by her daughters Janice (Charlie) Flowers, of Fredericton, and Karen (Terry) Foreman, of Moncton; son Brian (Joceline) Donaghy, of Moncton; sister Lois (Joe) Gallant, of Bancroft, ON; sister-in-law Esther Gregan, of Barrie, ON; grandchildren Shelly (Mike) Ramey, Christine Smith (Pierre Paradis), Ryan (Allison) Donaghy, Amy Donaghy (Matt Foster), Rebecca Foreman (Matt Thorne), Brittany Foreman, Meghan Foreman (Caleb Dow) and Kate Foreman; great grandchildren Kayla, Avery, Logan, Eleanor, Evelyn and Myles; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Jessie was predeceased by her husband Harry in June 2017; sisters Allie, Sadie, Dorothy, Clara and Loretta; and brother Wilfred. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend Jim MacDonald officiating. Internment will be at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Donations in Jessie’s memory can be made to the Harcourt Joint Cemetery Fund, or to a charity of your choice, with appreciation from the family.
