Mrs. Schiller had a profound impact on me, having spent over a decade in the Hillsborough Girls Choir. I am so grateful for her desire for perfection, her joy in song, and her care to see children experience transcendence in music. She helped to sustain the sparkle of music in my life and this imprint I still feel and recognize in my life today - 20 years out from being in the choir. Thank you Mrs S. She was truly special and I wish the family peace, love and to experience the enduring power of song at this time. With much love and thanks.

Having taught with Ruth at Caledonia was an unforgettable, fun experience. She impacted many lives as she shared her passion for music. We have many great memories of Ruth adventures. The Irish have a saying for this sad time for your family... Death leaves a heartache no one can heal...Love leaves a memory no one can steal. She will be in our hearts forever. So sorry for this loss to your family. A life well lived.

Our deepest condolences in the loss of your Mom. Ruth was a very gifted choir director and teacher of music but you girls and your Dad were always the center of her life. She was so proud of each of you. I cannot tell you how many Christmas concerts and Spring musicals your Dad sat through but it was quite a few. I cannot remember him ever missing one. I know Ruth will make a very beautiful angel and lets hope by the time we meet her again she will be directing a heavenly choir and your Dad will be there cheering her on. I am sadly not able to be with you on the 18th but please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Ruth was a special person in so many ways. Hugs to each of you as you pass through this stressful time.

To Caroline and your sisters, my heartfelt sympathy for your loss. The entire Boswell family of cousins were our close relatives. My sister and I loved being with them at family gatherings when music was always part of the fun. Watching Ruthie playing piano accompanying brothers David and Alan at local dances is still a vivid memory from so m any years ago. Ruthie's involvement in music leaves many who have been touched by her, her love of music, and the way in which she brought people into that world and to personal realizations in many instances. Wonderful persomnal memories and affection, Barbara Stewart Dubois

Ruth was a unique choir conductor of mine when I was a youngster living in Montreal. Her deep love of music and teaching poured out of her. She encouraged us all to do our very best, every week. So grateful to have known her. My parents Joan and David loved her incredible positivity and passion for music and singing and always remembered her fondly. I will never forget her. Lovely to see her a few times in the last decade at festivals. Lots of love. Margy.
