Obituary of Berthenia " Bert" O. Morris

Bert Morris, of Riverview and formerly of Coverdale Rd., passed away at her residence in Riverview on Friday, May 5, 2006. Born in Harvey, Albert Co; NB she was the daughter of the late Philip and Agnes (O'Connor) McCarron. She was a retired member of the teaching profession, having taught school in Riverside Albert for 8 years and in Riverview for approximately 30 years. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish as well as a member of the Ladies Society. She was a life member of the CWL, a life member of the Women's Institute of Middle Coverdale, a member of the retired Teachers Association and a member of the Knitting Group which she enjoyed very much. She is survived by daughters, Elizabeth 'Liz' Smith (Dana) of Salisbury and Mary Morris of Stanor, On; grandchildren Lisa (Michael), Jeffrey (Jill), Andrew (Kelley), Christopher (Rebecca), Kimberly (Jeff) and Cheyenne; ten great grandchildren; three sisters Alice Culbert of Woodstock, NB Vera McCarron of Aliganey, NY and Mary Morris of Montreal and by nieces nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Charles A. O. Morris, brother Morris McCarron and by sisters, Grace Johnston and Bernice McCarron. Resting at Riverview Funeral Home Pine Glen Rd. with visitation on Sunday, May 7, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm, Monday, May 8, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at 10:00 am with Fr. Jeff Doucette officiating. Parish prayers will be held at the funeral home on Monday evening at 8:30pm. Interment will be in Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Cemetery, Hopewell Hill, NB Donations made to the Memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by her family.
