Obituary of Blanche Burke

At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton on Tuesday October 3, 2006 Blanche Burke of Yoho Lake, NB, formerly of Lakeburn, NB (Dieppe) passed away at the age of 79. Born in French River, PEI she was a daughter of the late Freeman and Jennie (Birch) Campbell, and wife of 60 years to the late William Burke. Blanche loved Yoho Lake, thoroughly enjoyed bird watching, wildlife and the times she spent at her camp at Treasure Island in Cocagne, NB. Blanche also loved her two dogs Kecha and Lacey. She is survived by one daughter Gayle Critchlow (Larry) of Yoho Lake; one son Gordon Burke (Valerie) of Moncton; three grandchildren Lisa Ashton (Gale Smith) of Moncton, Trevor Burke of Moncton, Erika Burke of Moncton; one sister Penny Belfleur of Ontario; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by a sister Ruby Windsor. There will be no visitation by request. A funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel Home, Lutz St. Moncton on Saturday October 7th, 2006 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Aaron Billard officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton (458-1885) have been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
