Obituary of Beatrice Halushak

Beatrice Halushak, 73, of Riverview, passed away following a lengthy illness at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, April 26, 2007 surrounded by her family. Born in Winnipeg, on December 31, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Patrick and Beatrice Ellen (McCauley) McEwan. Bea retired from Sears Canada following 18 and 1/2 years service. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Riverview. Bea's creative talents were a great joy to her family and friends. Her family was of utmost importance to her, especially her grandchildren. Bea will be sadly missed by her husband of 49 years Roy Halushak, her children William Joseph & his wife Monique Halushak of Woodbridge, ON; Beatrice Ann & her husband Jeffrey Leaman of Riverview and Barbara Lynn and her husband Douglas Stafford of Leduc, AB; and her loving grandchildren James, Matthew and Stephen Stafford, Gregory and Laura Leaman, Alexis and Electra Halushak. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brothers Claude J. and Joseph C. McEwan. Resting at Riverview Funeral Home Pine Glen Rd. Riverview on Sunday, April 29, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Riverview on Monday, April 30, 2007 at 10:30 am. Parish prayers will be held at the funeral home on Sunday evening April 29,2007 at 8:30 pm. Interment will be in Alderwood Cemetery, Riverview, NB Donations in Bea's memory made to Canadian Cancer Society or to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation "Oncology Dept." would be appreciated by her family.
