Obituary of Blanche K. Brown

Blanche K. Brown, of Royal Court in Riverview, formerly of Bear Island, NB passed away with her family by her side on June 25th, 2008 at the age of 90 years. Born in Campbellton, NB on August 17th, 1917, she was the daughter of the late William A. Dobson and the late Edith (Anningson) Dobson. She was a member of the Bear Island United Baptist Church. Blanche was a member of the Bear Island Women's Institute where she served on several committees. She and her husband had a wonderful retirement traveling, including many years in Florida. Left to mourn her passing is daughter Margo (Paul) Ellegood of Comox, BC; sons Ronald (Helen) Brown of Riverview, NB, Donald (Joan) Brown of Chestermere, AB, Errol (Rena) Brown of AB; six grandchildren Charly (Sarah), Jason (Hayley), Steven, Shannon (Thijs), Nicholas, Jacob (Jennifer); six great grandchildren Keaton, Cooper, Haley, Logan, Hayden, and Karlie; brothers Claude and Wallace; also by several nieces and nephews. Blanche was predeceased by her husband of 61 years Robert O. Brown (2000); sisters Alta and Phyllis; brothers Ralph and Hillson. Resting at the Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Road, Riverview on Friday June 27th, 2008 from 7:00-9:00pm. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday June 28th, 2008 at 11:00am from the Riverview Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Cook officiating. Internment will follow at the Mactaquac Baptist Cemetery, Mactaquac, NB on Saturday June 28th, 2008 at 4:00pm. If so desired, donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society, The N.B Heart and Stroke Fund, or to the memorial of the donor's choice.
