Obituary of Burton Laskey
Burton Thomas Laskey of Lefurgey Avenue in Moncton, born on September 30, 1927, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on March 9, 2014, at age 86.
Burton was predeceased by his mother Agnes Laskey, and wife Rena May Laskey (Green).
He is survived by brothers Judson Brown (Darla), and Reginald Brown (Betty), son John, granddaughter Laura, cousin Geraldine Brown who was like a sister to Burton, and special friend Lisa. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Burton worked at Moncton’s Times and Transcript for many years, and after retiring, worked at Heritage Court. Burton took great pride in all he did, especially in his home, car and garden. He rode his CCM bicycle he purchased as a teenager almost every day.
He also loved to travel by car and go camping with his trailer; his love of travel took him all over the Maritimes and New England, his favorite cities to visit being Halifax and Boston.
Cremation has taken place at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home and Crematorium, with the interment will take place at Elmwood Cemetery on June 13, 2014 at 11:00am.
Family and friends may make a donation to a cause of their choice in lieu of flowers.
