Obituary of Barbara Ruth Dunfield

Barbara Ruth Dunfield, 83, of Moncton, New Brunswick and formerly of Cape Brule, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on August 9th, 2014. Born in 1930 in Moncton, she was the daughter to the late Stanley Snow, and Ruth Millidge ( Humphrey) Jones. Barb was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and a member of the Mountain View United Church. Teaching Sunday school and working with the mentally challenged, Barb was also the past President of the UCW Auxiliary. After her children were grown, she returned to school and completed her Bachelor of Arts in Religious studies graduating in 1985 from Mount Allison University. She enjoyed travelling and spending winters in Largo, Florida. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 64 years, Gordon of Cornhill, New Brunswick and her younger sister, Jean Jones of Moncton. A devoted mother to her five children, Laurence (Shirley) of North Vancouver, B.C , Stanley (Kari) of Halifax, N.S., Peter (Jackie) of Moncton, N.B., Ruth of N.S., and Beth (Scott) McGuigan of Fall River, N.S., Barb was also a loving grandmother to ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Special thanks from Gordon and family to the nurses and staff on 5100 at the Moncton City Hospital. By request of the family, there will be visitation and condolences only at the Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral Home on Wednesday August 13th from 4 pm – 8pm.
