Obituary of Norman Joseph Surette
Norman Joseph Surette, 79 years, passed away at The Moncton Hospital, on Friday, October 19, 2018.
Born in Cherryfield, NB he was the son of the late Timothy and Laura (Landry) Surette.
Norman lived his whole life on McLaughlin Road and was proud to be from Cherryfield. He worked hard his whole life providing for his family. He retired from the Canadian National Railway after 25 years as a Diesel Mechanic. Norman was an avid race car driver, winning many checkered flags and awards. He was known to everyone and he liked to know what was going on. He was a wheeler dealer and had a quick witt and sharp tongue.
He will be forever remembered by his son Stephen (Shauna Hill) of Moncton; daughter Karen Surette of Dieppe; sister Debbie (Brian) Budd of Moncton; grandchildren Crystal, Tim and Nicole whom he adored and spent many countless hours travelling all over the town on their many adventures; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his beloved wife Florine E. (Richard) in 2013, also by his sister Theresa Melvin in 2004.
Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 12:00pm until time of funeral service at 1:00pm with Father Allison Carroll officiating.
Interment will be in St. Lawrence O'Toole Roman Catholic Cemetery, Irishtown.
Donations in Norman's memory made to the St. Lawrence O'Toole Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
