Obituary of Anne Pauline Nason

The death of Anne Pauline Nason of Pine Glen, NB, age 59, occurred at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital in Moncton, NB. Anne was a loving wife to Ken, her husband of 34 years. She was the much loved daughter of Douglas and Pauline Brown of Amherst, NS. Anne was a dear sister to her brother Charles and sister in law Ann of Amherst, NS. She was very close to her special nieces Katie Brown Carrier of Nackawic, NB and Molly Quesnel of Truemanville, NS. Anne was survived by sister in law Carole Tapley and brother in law Doug Atherton, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews on both sides of the family who loved her dearly. She was predeceased by her baby brother David Dennis, mother in Law Kathleen, father in law Richard and sister in law Diane and grandparents. Anne was educated in Halifax at a preschool then at the school for the deaf (ISD) in Amherst, NS. Anne continued her education at the Gallaudett University in Washington DC and vocational school in Amherst, NS. For years Anne worked at Blue Cross in Moncton, NB, Service New Brunswick in Fredericton, NB as well as other office jobs. Anne was an active member at Glad Tidings Church, where she attended Deaf Bible Study, she was a volunteer and did fundraising for CDWC (Canadian Deaf Women Conference). She was also a member of the Moncton Association of the Deaf. Anne had a kidney transplant that lasted 21 years, during her good health times, she and Ken enjoyed travelling with their Jack Russell Terrier, Lexi, visiting friends and family as well as time at home with two loving cats. Anne was a very accomplished sewer and quilter. She made many beautiful quilts throughout her life that will be cherished for the years to come by her loved ones, especially her great nephew Clayton and great nieces Charlotte and Lucy. The family of Anne would like to extend thanks to the doctors and dialysis team that took care of Anne throughout the years and the palliative care nurses and doctors at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital that provided comfort and care to Anne in her last few days. Services and visitation will be held announced from Tuttle Brothers Riverview Funeral Home 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, NB; as soon as the Atlantic Bubble opens. Interment will be in Alderwood Cemetery.
