Obituary of Patrick John Laverty

Patrick, 70, son of the late Anselm and Rita Laverty, passed away peacefully after a brief illness and has rejoined them in the loving arms of God. Born in Ottawa, Ontario; Pat spent 36 years as civil servant. After retirement, Pat found joy in volunteering as a Third Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 1310. Pat is survived and will be missed by his beloved wife, Lynda and son, Kyle; his sisters Lyola and Alice and many cousins and friends. A celebration of life will take place at the Knights of Columbus, 1310 at 84 Broadway Street in Moncton on Wednesday, June 5 at 7:00pm. His funeral will take place at Saint Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church in Ottawa on Friday, June 28. I was glad when they said unto me; let us go into the house of the Lord.
