Obituary of Donna Marie Landry
Donna Marie Landry, of Moncton, passed away with family by her side at the Moncton Hospital, on August 28th at the age of 77 years. Born in Barrie, ON she was the daughter of the late James Archibald and Bertha Esther (Eisan) Jackman. Donna was a member of St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, a member of the CWL, and an avid member of the church choir. In addition to being a homemaker and primary caregiver to her three sons, Donna worked periodically outside the home at the Moncton City Hospital and with the Red Cross. She also recognized the importance of a quality education for all children by volunteering as librarian, teacher's assistant, lunch service, fund raising and chairperson for the local Block Parent Association. She is survived by her sons Michael (Joanne) Landry of Kentville, NS, Jeff (Shirley) Landry of Quispamsis, NB, and John (Mary-Ellen) Landry of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren Christopher, Nicholas, Megan, Alex and Monica; sister Barbara (Jim) O'Connor of Steeves Mountain, NB; and brother Randy (Karen) Jackman of Hillsborough, NB. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 46 years Joseph Landry in 2010 and her sister Linda Dupuis. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home on Monday, September 2nd from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. The funeral mass will be held at St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 3rd at 11:00am. Interment will be in Alderwood Cemetery. Donations in Donna's memory made to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
