Obituary of Michael Paul Vincent
Michael Paul Vincent of Moncton passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at the age of 51. Born in Noranda, PQ, a son of Barbara Ann (Oehring) and the late Aurele Vincent.
Raised in Bathurst, Mike followed in his father’s footsteps in the mining industry and was always very proud of having had the experience of working underground. Following that, he worked in Moncton as a Computer Systems Analyst for the Federal government until his medical retirement.
Mike was a brilliant problem solver who could troubleshoot and build anything. If the project was to be made of wood you could be sure it would be made of cedar. He was an avid Leafs fan as well as a news and trivia buff. He loved discussing current events with family and friends and was particularly rooting for the downfall of Trump. Mike loved music and had a special place in his heart for Gord Downey and the music of the Tragically Hip. He also had a fantastic sense of humour and was happiest when he was entertaining people and making them smile. Most of all, he loved spending time at his camp in Blackville; especially the time he spent sitting in the river on a hot summer’s day throwing rocks for his beloved dog, Jake.
Survived by his loving wife and best friend, Tanya Legacy; two daughters, Christie Michelle Vincent (Jesse Demmons), Annie Christine Vincent both of Moncton; three sisters, Diane Dickson (late Plen) of Richmond, BC, Pauline Jansen (Herm) of Smithville, ON, Christine Klucsarits (Frank) of Milton, ON; brother, Donald (Shelley) of Timmins, ON also by several nieces and nephews.
Donations in Michael's memory may be made to the MS Society.
At Mike’s request, there will be no visitation. A private service will be held at a later date.
