Obituary of Diane Louise Lalonde

Diane Lalonde, 75, of Riverview, NB; passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, October 2, 2019. Born in Digby, NS., She was the daughter of the late Roy and Ethel Wade of Bear River where she lived until she graduated from business college and moved to Halifax. Diane and her husband Roger moved to Riverview from Berwick, NS in 1977, She was employed by the Town of Riverview as an Administrative Assistant until her retirement. Diane was an avid reader, book collector, and looked forward to her monthly bookclub and meetups with friends. She enjoyed a variety of crafts especially crochet, lovingly gifting treasures to her family and friends. She was an Elvis fan, a cat lover, and an excellent cook and baker. Diane was sentimental and kept notes, cards, photographs and more that she gathered or were given to her over the years by family and friends. Angels in many shapes and sizes are displayed around her home among family photos that span the decades. Mother, sister, aunt, friend she will be sadly missed by her daughter Sandra Lalonde (Terry MacFarlane) of Riverview; sisters Carolyn Tidd (Mike McKay) of Ottawa and Cheryl Wade of Dartmouth; brother David Wade (Tammy) of Fredericton; as well as nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Roger Lalonde in 2002 and her son Brent in 1999. In keeping with Diane's wishes cremation has taken place. Private services will be held at a later date.
