Obituary of Margaret "Peggy" Duke

Margaret (Peggy) Duke, 92, of Lakeville, Westmorland, NB; passed away following a brief illness at The Moncton Hospital, on Saturday, November 16, 2019. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Bernice (Fraser) Carey. Peggy was a former member of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Moncton and now attended St. Bernard's Church. Active in her community she was a former member of the St. Michael's Ladies Society and the Lakeville Golden Dears. She is also a active member with the Silver Sands Senior Group in Shediac Cape Seniors and with the NB Senior Citizens Federation. Peggy was the co-owner with her husband Wilfred of Duke's Television for 21 years. She also worked in ladies retail with Pennington’s and Shirley K. to name a few. She also worked as a senior model with Commercial Modeling for 50 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons; Dan Duke and his wife Evelyn of Moncton and Jim Duke and his wife Linda of St. Albert, AB. by her adoring grandson Carey Duke; by nieces, nephews and also dear to her, are Angela and Susan. Peggy was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Wilfred Duke in 1997 and by her sisters Barbara Belliveau and Eileen Knapper both in 2019. Resting at Tuttle Brothers Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview with visitation on Wednesday November 20, 2019, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. The Funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Riverview Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 12 noon with Father Allison Carroll officiating. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Donations in Peggy's memory made to a memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
