Obituary of Scott Alan Ballinger

Scott Alan Ballinger of Riverview passed away at the Dr. Georges Dumont University Hospital, on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the age of 54 years. Born in Prince Rupert, BC he was the son of Gwendolyn (McMeeken) and the late Lloyd Ballinger. Scott worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator on the roadways. Scott enjoyed travelling and spending quality time with his wife Julie. He loved working in their garden. He loved his dogs Pebbles, Teddy and Marcie beyond measure. He is survived by his mother, Gwendolyn of Chilliwack, BC; his beloved wife of 23 years Julie (Watts) Ballinger; daughter, Christina Ballinger of Edmonton, AB; son, Jeffrey Ballinger of Chilliwack, BC; step daughter, Lalana (David) Baillargeon of Windsor ON; sister Terri Huddlestone of Prince Rupert, BC; step grandchildren Morgan and Chase Baillargeon. The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral Home Chapel, on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 7:00pm. Social distancing guidelines must be followed and masks are strongly encouraged. The funeral will also be broadcast live and viewed from the funeral home website.
