Obituary of Luetta Steeves

Luetta (Carroll) Steeves, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 8, 2020. She was 94 years of age, spending her last three years at Hillside View Seniors Care Home, where she peacefully passed. She was born at Steeves Mountain, the daughter of the late Verna and Leonard Carroll and a long time resident of Berry Mills. Never one for fancy clothes, big houses and personal wealth, her passion was always Jesus. Over the years she was an active member in the church, serving in various positions. She was a member of New Hope Community Church; a strong supporter of the vision to bring the former Berry Mills and Steeves Mountain Churches together to form the new ministry of New Hope. When she retired from her work at the Moncton Hospital, she headed to PEI to do mission work for Child Evangelism Fellowship. Later this took her to Calgary, where she served several years. Oh how she loved to teach children about Jesus! She was predeceased by her husband, Cecil, her sons Wendall and Michael Steeves, by her siblings Emerson, Victor, Curtis, Owen, Myrtle Buxton and Ortha Matthews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Left with precious memories are her two sons Terry (Beverly) and Dan (Debbie), her daughter Sandra Cowie (the late Ralph) and by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
