Obituary of Mary Ellen Jessiman
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our much loved mother, Mary Jessiman on April 25, 2021 at the Moncton Hospital.
Mary grew up on the farm in Demoiselle Creek. Born in 1928, the daughter of Bliss and Bernice (Simmons) Wilson. Mary was a quiet, gentle soul who always had a kind word for everyone. She worked for the T. E. Eaton company after graduating high school and until she married. She was an active member of the Lower Coverdale United Church singing in the choir, was a lifetime member of the UCW, and served on numerous committees and helped when and where needed. She enjoyed square dancing, was an avid bowler, a founding member of the Bridgedale Seniors Club, sang with the "Incredibles" a seniors singing group. She volunteered with the Cancer Society, was a Pink Lady Volunteer at Spencer's Memorial Home and was a past Matron of Fidelity Chapter #36 O.E.S, Riverview.
She along with her huband enjoyed travelling and made numerous trips throughout Canada, the United States and Europe. But, most important to her was her famiily. She will be dearly missed by daughter Karen (Ross); Son Andy (Ardith); cherished grandchildren Heather, Cory (Tammy), Jennifer (Rob), Jason (Peggy) and Matthew (Meaghan); precious great -grand children, Avery, Bryce, Connor, Drew and Fiona; Sister Charlotte Young; sister-in-law Eileen Wilson and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert in 2001, sister Gertrude Rose, brothers Carl, Reginald, Harold and Carmen, infant daughter Evelyn and infant grandson, Bradley.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions private family services will be held. The funeral service will be live streamed and viewed on the funeral home website on or anytime after Friday, April 30, 2021 at 11:00am.
Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
Donations in Mary's memory made to the the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
