Obituary of Walter "Bliss" Wheelhouse

Bliss Wheelhouse of Upper Coverdale passed away at the Ridgewood Veteran's Center, Saint John on Monday, June 7, 2021 at the age of 96 years. Born in Sackville he was the son of the late Marshall and Gladys (Purdy) Wheelhouse. Bliss was a air maintenance supervisor for the R.C.A.F with 30 years of service and retired as a Warrant Officer. He was a veteran of WWII serving overseas with the R.C.A.F. He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Salisbury #31. He is Survived by sisters, Phyllis Read and Helen Potter; brother Jim Wheelhouse also by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Mrs. Beryl (Laity) Wheelhouse in 2005; sister, Jean Ferguson; brother, Purdy. Graveside prayers will be held at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 1:00pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home 214 Pine Glen Rd.
