Obituary of Robert Edgar Prime

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Prime, 85 of Riverview, NB. He died peacefully surrounded by family at the Moncton City Hospital on Friday, September 3, 2021. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Maurine (nee Mallett), his sister Leona Davies, brother Ronald Prime, grandson Allan Morgan and his special friend of 10 years Patricia Robinson. He is survived by his four children Laurie (Ed) of London, ON, Cindy (James) of Riverview, Todd (Kim) of Moncton, and Rob (Kim) of Riverview; 8 grandchildren, Lindsay, Zack, Sarah, Kayleigh, Mason, Avery, Theo, Rose and two great grandchildren, Xayde and Benjamin; his sister-in-law Gail Zangen (Murray); nieces and nephews, Blair, Jeffrey, Kathleen, Josh, Matthew, Tory and Kim . Bob was a well-known member of the community; he was a Past President and life member of the Riverview Lions Club with over 50 years of service. He was also a Past President and volunteer of Crime Stoppers for over 10 years, volunteer for the Orthopedic Walkathon and most recently a member of the RCMP Auxiliary until the age of 82. Bob retired in 1997 from a long and successful career in the printing ink and graphic arts supplies industry, being employed by Canada Printing Ink and Canadian Fine Color. Bob cherished his memories of the Yale Avenue neighborhood block parties and maintained many of those friendships for the duration of his life. He also enjoyed many years of fun and laughter and made priceless memories during the family years spent at their cottage 'Justonemoe Cottage' in Lower Bedeque, PEI. In lieu of flowers, donations to Friends of the Moncton Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society are appreciated. At Bob's request there will be no visitations and no funeral service at this time.
