Obituary of Gary Dennis Stuart
Gary Stuart, 80, of Moncton, NB; passed away at Faubourg Residence in Moncton, NB, on Friday, October 8, 2021. Born in Manitoba, he was the son of the late James and Greta (Nichol) Stuart.
Gary was a lover of the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowshoeing, primitive camping, especially at black powder rendezvous. He was a founding member of the buck skinners Muzzle loading Association Limited 1978. He and his wife Shirley also enjoyed traveling to Florida , Hawaii and going on many Cruises for several years.
Gary was active in the community, he was involved with Lewisville Minor Hockey serving on different committees for many years, a former member of the Moncton Lions Club, a firearms and hunters education instructor for 20 years and he loved playing golf with his sons and his many friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Shirley A. Stuart; one daughter Susan Arlene Stuart (Charlene); three sons, Scot (Cheryl), Preston (Tracy) and Rodney (Stacy); five grandchildren, Caitlin, Shyla, Breanne, Shanel and MacKenzie; two brothers Dean Leslie Stuart (Irene) and James Stuart; as well as nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by daughter in law Sherri Johnston Stuart and by a brother Reginald Stuart.
Due to covid restrictions a private family only, graveside service will be held at Birchill Cemetery, Berry Mills with Pastor Drew Mersereau officiating at a later date.
Donations in Gary's memory made to a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated.
