Obituary of Gloria Jean Stevens

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Gloria Jean Stevens on May 22, 2022 at the Albert House Hospice after a brief illness. Our sadness in her death is tempered by the news that she has gone to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She will once again be reunited with her husband, Arthur, whom she missed so much. Gloria was born in Moncton, N.B. on February 7, 1948, to the late Douglas and Jean McNeill. She was the second child of 5 children. Remembering her with love is Jonathan, her only son, who lived with her. She will also be missed by her sisters Debbie Ells (Gary), Elizabeth Wall, and her brother, David McNeill (Pauline) and her sisters-in-law Peggy McNeill, Mary Vautour, Audrey Dickie (Doug), brothers-in-law Carl Stevens (Ann) and Walter Stevens (Marilyn), as well as many nephews and nieces. She was especially close to her niece, Erica McNeill, and the Thompson family. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Douglas McNeill, who died February 13, 2022. Gloria retired from The Moncton Hospital in 2008 after 39 years of service. She was known for a rather "unique" sense of humor, loved people, and had many friends. She attended the Lewisville Baptist Church and enjoyed being a Greeter as well as attending Bible Studies. The family wishes to thank all the doctors, nurses and support staff at The Moncton City Hospital and the Extra-Mural Program Blanche-Bourgeois for all the care they provided as well as the Albert Street Hospice. Special thanks to all the friends who provided day and night time support for Gloria when she was able to stay at home. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral Home & Crematorium, 214 Pine Glen Road, Riverview, NB. on Wednesday, May 25th, 2022 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral Home & Crematorium Chapel on Thursday, May 26th, 2022 at 1:00pm.
