Obituary of Joseph Glen Whitney Guitard
Glen Guitard of Riverview, NB passed away after a brief illness at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Centre on Sunday, November 24, 2024.
Born in Campbellton, NB he was the son of the late Henry and Regina (Steeves) Guitard.
Glen retired in 1999 as Deputy Sheriff for the City of Moncton, after 17 years service. After Glen’s official retirement he continued working as a “Jack Of All Trades” and he would admit to be a “Master of All”. Glen enjoyed working helping people with whatever odd jobs at hand whether it be lawn maintenance, home renovations, he enjoyed plowing snow in the winter, and found time to enjoy his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Above all Glen enjoyed time spent with his family and coffee at Tim’s with his buddies, he also adored his dog Misha and cat Sin.
Glen is survived by his wife, Joanne (Essiembre) Guitard; daughter, Natasha Guitard of Riverview; sister, Lisa Guitard of Campbelton; mother-in-law, Lorraine Essiembre of Campbellton; sister-in-law, Rose Marie Babin (Jacques) of Campbellton, Noella Coutange (Ralph) of Campbellton; brother-in-law, Valmond Essiembre of Riverview.
Glen was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Regina (Steeves) Guitard; father-in-law, Harold Essiembre; brother, Wayne Guitard; also by an infant daughter, Amanda.
A celebration of life will be held at Fergusons Riverview Funeral Centre, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview (506-857-9544) on Thursday, December 5, 2024 between the hours of 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm. .
