Mike, and all of Ben's family, know you are held in love and care. I had the privilege of knowing Ben during some of the more challenging days that he faced and I was honoured to know him. His gentle presence, humour, and desire to be helpful are things I will remember about him - and his longing for a better life, to make better choices... but he kept getting in his own way. "It is what it is..." he would say, "No, Ben, it's not... it's what you make it... you choose. To choose not to choose is a choice..." and so would go our sometimes deep philosophical conversations. In all, I tried to remind him that he was loved. With love and still holding hope for you Ben...
