Henry R. Bannister Obituary

Henry Bannister passed away at home on Friday, June 21, 2024 at the age of 94 years. Henry was proud to be the eldest community member in Pine Glen, NB.


Born in Pine Glen, NB on April 30, 1930 he was the son of the late Rafe and Nancy (Wells) Bannister.


Henry enjoyed the outdoors; he was an avid gardener. Henry never missed attending the Albert Fair and enjoyed being around the horses.


Henry is survived by sons, Ralph (Eleanor) Bannister of Moncton, Stephen (Donna) Bannister of Pine Glen, William Bannister of Pine Glen, Jason Bannister of Pine Glen, Henry Jr. (Sandy Taylor) Bannister of Moncton; daughters Henrietta Bannister of Pine Glen; grandchildren, Tammy Roberts, Cody Roberts, Kandace Bannister, Alex Bannister, Joey Bannister; five great grandchildren; sister, Beatrice Trites of Pine Glen.


Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Emily Bannister; sons, Thedore “Teddy” Bannister and Wayne Bannister; sisters, Myrtle and Dorothy; brothers, Lewis, Rolland and John.


A celebration of life will be held at the Pine Glen Community Center, on Sunday, June 30th from 2:00pm-5:00pm.
