My deepest sympathy to the family of Jason. As he grew up I never saw him very much but as a little guy he was so friendly and cute. Even then he had a runin with leukemia and I never forgot him telling me one day "They want me to go back to Halifax but I'm NOT going." He did go and had many good years after that.
I well remember Jason when he was at TMH in 1980 sharing a room with another Jason Deware and Scott Wright. The three would always confuse the Nurses & other staff when they walked in the saying the first name of the boy they were looking for for some procedure. As a parent of a patient I thought the boys pranking was hilarious. So glad to read Jason got to live a good life well respected by his community despite everything.
Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. Jason RIP hopefully will use his “wings” well reconnecting with my Scott.
We were so sorry to hear of Jason’s passing after a long and difficult illness. Although Jason’s death was expected, his passing has saddened us beyond words. What a trying time this past year has been for the whole family. We are happy that we got to visit with him while he was in the hospital. He told us of his wins at the Dart Club. He wanted to go out his own way, he was a strong man. He is not in pain anymore and under the wing of his beloved Mother and his Dad by his side. Rest in peace Jason, till we meet again. Uncle Mack and Aunt Carol xo
My sincere condolences to the families.
My most fond memory of Jason is playing pool.
He loved to compete and interact with people.
When he came to the bar, he would always order wings with the hottest sauce available.
I could never figure out how he could eat them.
Jason will be remembered for his kindness.
Fly high with the angels.
Rest In Peace Jason.
