Obituary of Vernon R. Wortman

Vernon R. Wortman, 85 years, of Riverview passed away at The Moncton Hospital, on Wednesday, June 13, 2012. Vernon was a former Plant Supervisor with Blakney Concrete for 34 years, and he was employed with Shaw as Manager of the Masonary Store for 9 years. He was a former member of the U.C.T. and the Riverview Lions Club. Vernon enjoyed gardening, wood working and carpentary. Vernon R. will be sadly missed by his wife of 63 years Carmon M. (Collier) Wortman; daughter Lynn Ann Wortman Arsenault (Norman) of Moncton; brothers Malcolm Wortman (Joyce) and Cecil Wortman (Elaine) all of Boundary Creek. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Donald and his sister Elva MacDonald. A funeral service will be held at the Riverview Funeral Home on Friday June 15, 2012 at 2:00pm. In Vernon's memory donations made to the Diabetes Association, the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
