Obituary of Verna Hanley

Verna Hanley (née Dupuis), 78, of Miramichi, NB; passed away at The Moncton City Hospital on Wednesday, August 1st, 2012. Born in Miramichi, she was the daughter of the late William and Alice (Banks) Dupuis. Verna was a member of the Newcastle United Baptist Church, Miramichi, NB. Verna will be sadly missed by her three sons; James (Sharon) of Quispamsis, Laurie (Debbie) and Bruce (Claudine), both of Moncton, by her three daughters; Brenda Collins (Paul) of Malagash, NS, Kathy O’Neill (Michael) of Saint John, Karen Hill of Quispamsis, as well as by her several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her bother; Edward. Other than by her parents, Verna is predeceased by her brother; James Dupuis, and four sisters; Mrs. Lenny Edwards, Mrs. Mildred Grant, Mrs. Jean Hare, and Mrs. Nina (Margaret) Hubbert. Honoring Verna’s wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. The Celebration of Life will be held at Newcastle Baptist Church, 582 King George Highway, Miramichi, on Wednesday, August 8th, 2012 at 2:00pm with Pastor Daniel Locke officiating.
