Obituary of Theresa Cormier

Theresa Cormier, of Jardineville, NB and formerly of Peter St. Moncton passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at the age 89 years. Born in Jardineville, NB on April 3, 1917 she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Agnes (Orr) Stimson. Theresa worked in Catalogue Sales for The T. Eaton Co. until their closure. She was a member of St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, Moncton and a member of St. Bernard's CWL. Theresa was a Honorary Life Member of the Girl Guides of Canada; where she held many positions over her 39 years in Guiding. She also received the Air Canada Heart of Gold Award for her community involvement. A long time and active resident of Sunny Brae, she was a member and past president of the Braesiders. Left with fond memories are her son Arthur P. Cormier (Iona) of Jardineville whom she resided; daughters Fay Keirstead (Brent) of Moncton, and Patricia McCulley (Brian) of Argyle, Manitoba; sisters Rose Glencross of Cranbrook BC; and Lil Daigle (Leo) of Kouchibouguac; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; also by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Ernest Joseph Cormier in 1995. Resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, Moncton with visitation on Monday, October 23, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm The funeral mass will be held at St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at 11:00 am with celebrate Father Denis Belliveau and Fr. Bernard Sloan assisting. Parish prayers will be held at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home on Monday evening at 8:30pm. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Cemetery, Rexton, NB on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at 2:30pm.
