Obituary of Sheila MacDonald

Sheila MacDonald (1941-2009) passed away peacefully at home on March 14, 2009 with her family by her side, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Bernice and Henri Peters. Sheila is survived and will be remembered by her loving husband Allen, her children Jeff, Mark (his partner Lisa) and her daughter Rachel (her partner Glenn); by her grandson - her pride and joy - Scott MacDonald. Sheila will also be sadly missed by her aunts Betty Gray of Moncton and Gladys Boudreau of Ottawa and by many close friends and extended family. Sheila was happily married to Allen for over 45 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She had a love for animals, music, bingo and hockey games. She lived life to the fullest. Her smile, warm heart, open arms and loving nature will leave footprints on many hearts forever. The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel, Lutz St. Moncton on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 2:00 pm with Father Allison Carroll officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery in Dieppe, at a later date. Remembrances in Sheila's memory may be made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital "Oncology Dept." or to Canadian Cancer Society. Special thanks to the staff of the Oncology Dept. of the Moncton Hospital and to Extra Mural, for the love and care given to Sheila during her illness.
