Obituary of Ronald 'Ron' E Beaton

Ronald 'Ron' Beaton, 83, of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, May 3, 2006. Born in Moncton, February 6, 1923. Ron was a Safety Officer with the Occupational Health and Safety Council. He attended Mount Royal United Church. A veteran of WW II he served the Royal Canadian Navy and following the war he continued to serve with the Royal Canadian Air Force Ground Observer Corp. He is survived by his wife Norma F. 'Betty' (Stevens) Beaton, two daughters Linda Saunders (Ken) of Riverview and Donna Beaton (Bill Hughson) of Quispamsis; four grandchildren Jenne Saunders (Martin McEwen), Sara Saunders (Denis Goguen), Dean Hughson (Jenn) and Kyle Hughson, two great grandchildren and by nieces and nephews. Mr Beaton was the last surviving member of his immediate family. At Ronald's request there is no visitation at the Funeral Home The memorial service will be held at Mount Royal United Church Moncton on Friday, May 5, 2006 at 2:00pm with Rev. Valerie Taylor officiating. The family will be receiving relatives and friends in the church hall immediately following the service. Donations in Ron's memory made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by his family. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery in spring .
