Obituary of Rose Marie Richard
A special lady who opened her heart to everyone for anything.
She brought life to this world, now this world has taken her back.
Rose Marie Richard of Villa Providence Shediac, passed away February 7, 2007 just 18 days prior to her 100th birthday.
Born in the Evangeline, NB on February 25, 1907 she was the daughter of the late Pierre and Marie (Saulnier) Gallant. She was a member of St. Phillips Roman Catholic Church, and a member of The St. Phillips Golden Age Club.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Left with fond memories are her daughters Alberta (Neri) Arsenault of Spencer Mass, Janet Caissie of Holden Mass, Pauline (Ron) Russell of Moncton, Rita (Francis) Cormier of Worcester Mass; sons Francis (Freda) Gallant of Largo FL, Edgar (Doris) Richard of St. Philip, and Roger Richard of Dieppe; 44 Grandchildren including Debbie Maillet and her husband Ron Taylor of ON whom she raised; 50 great grandchildren; 17 great great grandchildren; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 55 years Leonard Richard in September of 1985; daughter Albertine Depres; three infant sons; son in law Gerry Depres; grandchildren Gary, Dale, Gerry, Tony, Yvette; great grandchildren Jamie Lee Snow; great great grandchildren Kiaria and Briann.
There will be visitation at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. on Friday February 9, 2007 from 2:00-4:00pm & 7:00-9:00pm. Also on Saturday morning from 9:00-10:00am.
The funeral mass will be held at St. Phillips Roman Catholic Church on Saturday February 10, 2007 at 11:00 am with Fr. Yvon Barrieau officiating.
Interment will be in St. Phillips Parish Cemetery in the spring.
In Rose's Memory, donations may be made to the memorial of the donors choice.
