Obituary of Raymond Carlin

Raymond Carlin, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at the age of 85 years. Born in Saint John, NB on July 3, 1924 he was the son of the late Johnny and Pauline (Chase) Carlin. Raymond was a retired employee of The Department of Transportation. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6, also a member of The War Veterans Association. He is survived by daughters Laura (Terry) Boutilier of Moncton, Ruth Anne (Jilles) LaBell of Ottawa, and Esther Carlin (Mike Veinot) of Moncton; Audrey (Lealand) Mattatall, son Johnny (Catherine) Carlin of Moncton; step son Alfred (Sonia) Bastarache of Moncton; step brother Harold Briggs of Moncton; grand daughter and care giver Starr Gallie and fiancé Shawn Arsenault of Moncton; several grand, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Gladys Bastarache; step father Ross Briggs; daughter Viola Capps in 2008; son Robert Carlin in 2009. Resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, on Wednesday December 9, 2009 from 2- 4pm & 7- 9pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Br#6 will be holding a prayer service Wednesday at 1:30pm at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at 11:00 am with Rev. Chris VanBuskirk officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul de Kent.
