Obituary of Rosemary Roche

Rosemary Roche, 90, formerly of Riverview, passed away at The Moncton Hospital, on Saturday, January 5, 2013. Born in West Arichat, NS, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Minnie (Fougere) Truman. Rosemary had worked with Moir's Chocolates in Halifax and she also worked for a short time as a Nurse's Aide in Halifax before marrying Philip and raising their children. Rosemary was a kind and gentle women, who never spoke ill of anyone. She will be fondly remembered by her children Yvonne MacDonald (Colin) of North Sydney, NS; Barry Roche and Philip Roche both of Riverview and Diana Trumans of Kansas; grandchildren Diane MacDonald (Lise Lecouffe) of Moncton, Carole MacDonald, Shane MacDonald both of North Sydney, NS, Richard "Rick" Gabbey of Moncton, Robert "Bob" Gabbey of Montreal, PQ and Sean Roche of Moncton; great grand-daughter Madison MacDonald of North Sydney, NS; sister Shirley Publicover, NS; brother Benny Truman, NS as well as nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Philip G. Roche, son Gregory T. Roche both in 1996, daughter Carole Gabbey in 1999, son William (Billy) Roche in 2007, by two sisters Marie Truman and Lena Whalen, and by two brothers, Alfred and George Truman. Resting at the Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, with visitation on Monday, January 7, 2013, 6:30pm to 8:00pm Parish Prayers and sharing of memories will be held at 7:30pm on Monday evening at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 214 Pine Glen Rd. on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 2:00 pm with Fr. Phil Mulligan officiating. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by her family.
