Obituary of Yvon Gauvin

Riverview, NB -Yvon Gauvin, 66 , husband of Jean nee Dixon, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital, on Wednesday, July 20, 2016. Born September 14, 1949 in Dieppe, NB., he was the son of the late Clorice and Francoise (Goguen) Gauvin. Yvon worked as a journalist for the Moncton Times & Transcript for 40 years until retirement. He is survived by his wife, Jean Gauvin (Dixon); two sisters, Jeannette Poirier (Normand) and Rose-Marie both of Cocagne, NB; four brothers, Ulysse (Claudia) of Cocagne, Paul (Anitia) of Moncton, Gerald (Beverly) of Dieppe and Roger (Johanne) of Moncton. Besides his parents, Yvon was also pre-deceased by two infant sisters. As per Yvon's wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A private Memorial Service will be held at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Interment will be at a later date. Donations in Yvon's memory made to the Kidney Foundation or Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
