Obituary of Wayne Armstrong

Wayne Armstrong, 65, of Moncton, NB and formerly of Halifax; passed away with his family at his side at The Moncton Hospital, on Wednesday, November 23, 2016. Born in Moncton, NB he was the son of the late Walter and Muriel Armstrong. Wayne was a former dock worker at the Halifax dockyard and was also employed with the Hershey Chocolate Factory in Halifax prior to his retirement. He attended the Mount Uniacke Baptist Church in Mount Uniacke, NS He will be missed by his children Peggy Mosher of Cornwall, PEI and Tara Sheaves and Henry Armstrong both of Halifax; grandchildren Marissa, Madison, Cadence, Kennedy, Glen, Ryan, Samantha, Christopher, Jessica, Katherine and Talia; sister Susan Arsenault (Jean Guy) of Moncton; sister in law Virginia Cox & her family; brother in laws Doug Hickey and Michael Kierstead; his Aunt Peggy Faulkner of New Market ON; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Janet Louise Armstrong, a sister Vivien Kierstead and by a infant brother David. In Honoring Wayne’s wishes there is no viewing or visitation at the funeral home. A Private Celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Donations in Wayne's memory made to the Memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by his family.
