Obituary of Nelson Welling

Nelson Welling, 82, of Shediac Cape, NB; passed away at his residence on Saturday, April 14, 2007. Born in Shediac Cape on April 16, 1924, he was the son of the late Charles and Ethel May (Clarke) Welling. He was a former Poultry Farmer "Mile Hill Poultry Farm", after which he began selling Real Estate and later was owner / operator of Welling Reality. He was a member of St. Martins in the Woods Anglican Church in Shediac Cape, NB. Nelson loved to travel and was a collector of antiques, he was also an animal lover and enjoyed his walks with his dogs. He is survived by two nieces, Audrey Fram of Sudbury, ON; and Ellen Wells of Hillsborough, NB; two nephews, Roderick Trites of Lakeside and John McWilliam of London ON; and by a special cousin Malcolm and his wife Shirley Welling of Shediac Cape, NB. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sisters Verona Trites, Georgena McWilliam and Evelyn B. Welling and by a brother Douglas Welling. At his request there is no viewing at the funeral home. The Funeral Service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel Lutz St. Moncton on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 1:30 pm with Archdeacon Richard McConnell officiating. Interment will be in St. Martins in the Woods Anglican Church Cemetery, Shediac Cape, NB at a later date. Donations in Nelson's memory made to St. Martins in the Woods Anglican Church Building Fund or to the Charity of the donors choice would be appreciated.
