Obituary of Neil M. Power

Neil M. Power, age 22 , of Charlottetown, PEI and formerly of Riverview, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown, PEI. following a brief illness. He was Lead Computer Programer for Telos Productions in Charlottetown. Neil was a graduate of Riverview High School and a graduate with honors in Computer Programming from the NBCC Miramichi Campus. He enjoyed all sports including hockey and boxing. His greatest love outside of his family, was computer programming, designing and playing computer games. Neil will be sadly missed by his parents Sandra and Dan Maillet of Riverview, his brother Joel Power of Fredericton, his father Michael Power of Moncton. Neil also leaves behind his maternal grandmother Rita Warman of Moncton, his maternal grandfather Ronnie Beers of Harcourt, step grandmother Pasty Maillet (the late Sanford), aunts Gloria Beers (Vince Comeau), Arlene Little (Kevin), Theresa Cormier (Omer) and Annette Dumaine (Gilles), uncles Leonard Beers, Gerald Beers (Diana), Darren Beers (Valarie), Larry Arsenault (Barb), Bernie Maillet (Nicole), Mike Maillet (Susan), Roger Maillet and Robert Maillet (Roberta); as well as many cousins and friends. Neil was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Emerson and Gladys Power and by his step-grandfather Edmond Arsenault. Visitation will be held at Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, NB on Saturday, February 5, 2011 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. The funeral service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at 3:00 pm with Rev. Steve Berube officiating. Donations in Neil's memory made to the charity of donor's choice would be appreciated by his family.
