Obituary of Pamela "Pam" Lynn Lewis

On Sunday, April 14, 2013, Pam Lewis, 69, of Shediac, NB, passed away at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital in Moncton with her loving family by her side following a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Walter S. and Olive Margaret (Mayer) Hunter. Pam was a former secretary with Electrical and Refrigeration Services Ltd prior to her retirement, and she was an adherent of St. George's Anglican Church in Moncton. Pam enjoyed gardening and hosting family gatherings, however her greatest love was that of her family and grandchildren. A loving and caring wife, mother, nanny, sister and friend, Pam will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 46 years Gerry Lewis, her daughter Heather Lewis (Rob Robichaud), her adoring grandchildren Sadie and Oriah Robichaud, her son Chris Lewis of Sherbrooke, QC., Chris’ former wife Myra and her children Michael and Megan, two brothers Bill Hunter (Venie) of Moncton and Tom Hunter (Ann) of Upper Musquodoboit, NS, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by an infant sister, Joan Hunter, and by her sisters Shirley Campbell (the late Bill) and Elizabeth "Betty" Hunter. Honoring Pam’s wishes cremation will take place. The funeral service will be held at St. George's Anglican Church corner of Queen and Church Streets, Moncton, on Wednesday, April 17th, 2013 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Chris VanBuskirk officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. Donations in Pam's memory can be made to the Extra Mural Nurses Shediac Branch, to St. George's Anglican Church Memorial Fund, or to the charity of the donor's choice. The family wish to thank Extra Mural Nurses of Shediac and the Doctors and Nurses of Palliative Care at the Georges Dumont Hospital; your care and compassion will never be forgotten.
