Obituary of Mary Doreen McGowan

Mary D. McGowan of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at the age of 76 years. Born in Saint John, NB; she was the daughter of the late Mark and Ada (Cormier) Breen. She is a member of St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Parish. Mary was a long time member of the St. Bernard's Church Choir and most recent a member of the Moncton Metro Tones. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Donald J. McGowan, five very special children, Donald W. McGowan (Sheila) of Burlington, ON and their children, Shanley and Devlin; Marlene Pond (Ronald) of Douglas, NB and their children Ryan, Dacia and Kara; Paul McGowan (Kerri) of Langley, BC and their children Ashley, Brittany, Mark and Andrea; Joan McCarthy of Saint John, NB and her child Abigail; Cathy Cormier (Tony) of Moncton and their children Jacob and Jessica; three brothers Thomas (Chris), Mark (Clara) and Harold "Butch" Breen; sisters Theresa Rigby, Helen Brideau (Thomas) "Babe", Jean Osborne and Margaret Cross; also by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson Brendan McCarthy, brothers James, Joseph and Arthur Breen and sisters Vera Breen and Christena Elward. Visitation is at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, Lutz St. Moncton on Sunday, November 12, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral mass will be held at St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church on Monday, November 13, 2006 at 11:00 am with Father Allison Carroll officiating and Fr. B. Sloan assisting. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery Family flowers only, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by Mary's family.
