Obituary of Mary Anne Roberts

Mary Anne Roberts, of Riverview, NB passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday March 24, 2007 at the age of 82 years. Born in Coates Mills, Kent Co. NB on April 17, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Neil B. and Florence (MacPherson) Sherwood. She was a member of The United Church. Mary Anne was a member of The Order of The Eastern Star #19, Winston Churchill Chapter in Albert, NB. She enjoyed spending time in her garden, square dancing, and was an avid bridge player. For 20 years she and her husband Bill enjoyed many winter months in Florida. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she will be sadly missed by her husband of 61 years William H. "Bill" Roberts; daughter Elaine Anne (Bill) Ward of Lower Coverdale; sons Greg (Sharon) Roberts of Edmonton, AB, and Allan Roberts of Riverview; special grandchildren Heather Dawn (Travis) Russell and Neil William (Courtney) Ward both of Lower Coverdale; Connie and Andrew of Edmonton AB; adoring great granddaughter Natalie Anne Frances Ward; also by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her infant son of one year Brian Anderson Roberts in 1951; brothers George J. Sherwood and John A. Sherwood. A memorial service will be held at The Riverview Funeral Home Chapel 214 Pine Glen Rd. on Tuesday March 27, 2007 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Carol Mullin officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in the spring. In Mary Anne's memory, donations may be made to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital or to The Parkinsons Foundation.
