Obituary of Mary Anne Longstaff

Mary Anne Longstaff, of Riverview passed away at her residence with family by her side on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at the age of 88 years. Born in Gaveltown, NS on August 1, 1921 she was the daughter of the late Alphee and Adeline (Gavel) Doucette. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Barbara (Vaughn) Fenton with whom she resided, Carol Field of Kingsville, ON, Joy Webster of Carlton Place, ON; sons Grant (Bonny) of Belleville, ON, Jack of Belize Central America; Ralph of Belleville, ON; sisters Julia (Joseph) Juerra, Alice Earle and Mildred (Bernard) Bourque all of Yarmouth, NS; brother Harold (Phyllis) Doucette of Saint John, NB; eleven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband George in 1994; sisters Blanche and Mildred; brothers Harvey, Howard and Alfred; grand daughter Bonnie Joyce in 1980; grandson Jeffrey Webster in 2007. Resting at The Riverview Funeral Home 214 Pine Glen Rd. on Sunday December 20, 2009 from 2:00pm until time of service at 4:00pm with Rev. Brent Ham officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in the spring. In Anne's memory, donations made to The Extra Mural Driscoll Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated.
