Obituary of Muriel Stevens

Muriel Stevens, 87, formerly of 21 Crystal Dr; Riverview, passed away at Salvation Army Lakeview Manor in Riverview on Sunday, June 20, 2010. Born in Montreal, PQ. she was the daughter of the late James W. and Enid (Barrs) Rayner. While living in Montreal, Muriel was employed with Robco. Inc. and in Moncton she was employed with the Provincial Government Dept. of Social Services. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church and a member of the U.C.W. She is also a member of the O.E.S. Winston Churchill Chapter # 19 as well as a member of the Bridgedale Seniors and the Riverview Seniors. She is survived by her daughter; Marjorie A Clendenning of Verdun, PQ. her son; Donald D. Clendenning (Terry) of Brampton, On. grandchildren; Richard (Janet) and Breanne (Leo); great grandchildren Lucas, Lexi and Lissa; as well as several step-children, grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces, nephews and cousins. Muriel was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her 1st husband also by her 2nd husband Donald H. Stevens as well as two brothers; Gordon and Alwyn. At Muriel's request there is no viewing at the Funeral Home The Memorial Service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Steve Berube officiating. The Family will be receiving relatives and friends in the reception area of the funeral home immediately the service. Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery.
