Obituary of Muriel Irene Alston

Muriel Irene Alston, 95 years, of McNair Manor, Moncton, NB passed away at her residence, on Saturday, March 5, 2011. Born in Lorneville, NB on August 18th, 1915 she was the daughter of the late William and Lily (McCavour) Downey. Muriel was a member of the Carleton-Kirk United Church in West Saint John before moving to McNair Manor in 2009. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Barbara Prosser (Tom Landry) of Notre Dame, NB; grandsons James (Kim) Prosser of Brentwood, NH and Shawn (Linda) Prosser of Moncton, NB; granddaughter Kathy Lynn Prosser of Moncton; two great grandchildren Janelle and Kyle Prosser; sister Doreen Kingston (Harold) of Saint John, NB; also by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband James in 2006; brothers Reginald, Percy, and Burpee. A memorial service will be held at Carleton-Kirk United Church West Saint John at a date to be announced. Interment will be held at Cedarhill Cemetery, Saint John, NB. In Muriel's memory, donations made to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
