Obituary of Mary Sheehan
With sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved Mary (Mae) Sheehan at the age of 95 years at McNair Manor in Riverview. Born in Pabos, Quebec in 1916 she was the daughter of the late Victoria (Tennier) of Grande Riviere, Quebec and the late Edward "Ned" Keays also of Pabos, Quebec and the wife of the late Anthony Bernard Sheehan. She is survived by her children Peggy of Moncton, Peter (Pauline) of Stillwater Lake, NS, Mary (Robbie) Savard and Robert (Vickey) of Eastern Passage; her well loved grandchildren Sandra (Shawn) Smith, Jennifer Savard, Matthew Savard, Patick and Joey Sheehan; great grandchildren David Savard, Sawyer and Katie Smith; sisters Opal Crossman, Gerladine Despard, Phyllis Belanger and Shirley (Hubert) Fillion; brothers James (Marcella) and George (Doria); in laws Audrey Keays, Onida Keays, Doreen Keays and many, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Georgie Jones; brothers Guy, Frank, Gilbert, Clarence, Victor, Leonard and Ernest. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. on Tuesday April 5, 2011 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday April 6, 2011 at 10:00 am with Fr. Yvon Arsenault officiating. Interment will take place in the spring at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. In Mary's memory, donations made to the Ray of Hope Soup Kitchen would be appreciated by the family. Until her illness Mary had been a respected and giving member of the community spending many hours at the Ray of Hope Kitchen. She was the counsellor to her younger sisters, brothers and many neighbouring women in need. A life well lived is a blessing and lesson for those left behind. God Speed!
