Obituary of Lillian M. Hopey

Lillian M. Hopey, of Riverview,NB passed away at her residence on Friday October 13, 2006 at the age of 89 years. Born in Newcastle, NB on January 18, 1917 she was the daughter of the late James A. and Frances (Marten) Fogan. She retired in 1974 from The Blue Cross Ins. Co. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Left with fond memories are her nieces Donna (Paul) Babineau , Lynn (Eric) Douthwright , and Ruth Thompson (late Peter) all of Riverview, Heather MacLeod of New Jersey, Darlene Fogan of Los Angelos, Olive Lazzari, Sylvia Fogan, and Patricia (Rosco) Reeves all of Mary Lands; nephews John (Jane) Wilson of Moncton, Doug (Mary) LeBlanc of Calgary. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband John Hopey in 1984; sisters Ida Mae Cameron, Audrey MacLoud, and Grace Wilson; half sister Elizabeth Scott; and her brothers Ralph W., Arnold, and James. The memorial service will be held at The Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Carol Mullins officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery with her husband. In Lillian's memory, donations made to the memorial of the donors choice would be appreciated by her family.
