Obituary of Llewellyn A. Homer

Llewellyn A. (Wally) Homer, age 71 years of Riverview, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, November 27, 2008. Born November 21st, 1937 in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Karl and Gladys (Price) Homer. He worked as an electrical contractor retiring in 2001. Wally was a member of St. John's United Church, a life member of the Moncton Motorcycle Touring Club; a member of the 74th Crusaders Motorcycle Club of Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia for 30 years, a member of the Radio amateurs of Canada, a director of the Moncton Area amateur radio club, a member of the Coverdale Masonic Lodge #52 F&AM, and a member of Frank H. Tingley #5 Order of the Eastern Star. His hobbies and interests were motorcycling, camping and amateur radio. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Mildred (Parsons) Homer; daughter Cindy Hayden (Robert) of Riverview; son Mark (Susan) Homer of Petitcodiac; grandchild Justin Andrew Letterick-Homer; cousins Nelson and Marlene Price of Moncton, Mary and Layton Stoddard of Debert, NS, Karl and Rene Doan of Barrington, NS, and Dorothy Brown of Halifax, NS; as well as several nieces and nephews and his dog Baxter. Resting at the Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Road on Sunday November 30th, 2008 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. The Memorial Service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, December 1st, 2008 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Aaron Billard officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Wally made to Heart and Stroke Foundation, Diabetic Association or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by his family.
