Obituary of Laura Lee Sleaver

It is with great sadness we announce the death of Lori (Sowerby) Sleaver, daughter of Bruce and Sharron Sowerby, of Riverview. Lori passed away on November 20, 2010 at the QE II in Halifax following a brief illness. Lori will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her sense of humor, her generous heart and the great love she had for her family. Lori leaves behind her pride and joy; her two sons Ryan and Brett. She felt great pride watching her boys play competitive basketball and loved spending time with them at the beach. Besides her sons and her mother Sharron; she is survived by her husband Bob; her sisters Stacey McEachern (Ron) and Kristie Sowerby (Mike Koberinski) all of Riverview; her grandmother Edith Sowerby of Halifax, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and her extended family Lloyd Sleaver (the late Josephine), Bill and Carolyn (Mark). She was predeceased by her father Bruce and grandparents Lee Sowerby and Albert and Marion Loat. Resting at Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. with visitation on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Thursday, November 25, 2010 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Jonathan Gorham officiating. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Donations in Lori's memory made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to a trust fund set up for her children would be appreciated.
