Obituary of Lorraine Mary Young

Young, Lorraine Mary- with great sadness our family wishes to announce the peaceful passing with great dignity of our beloved Mother, Nana, Sister and Aunt. Lorraine Young (89 years) at the Dr. George L. Dumont Hospital University Center on Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Resident for the past year at Residence Aventure, Elmwood Drive and formerly of Center Street, Moncton, NB. Born in Moncton she was the daughter of the late Leo P. and Julia (Legere) LeBlanc. She will be sadly missed by her loving children, son Gregory of Moncton, NB; daughters Heather (Kevin) AuCoin of Sydney, NS, Nancy Young of North Vancouver, BC, and her cherished grand daughter Denise AuCoin (fiancee Craig Scott) of Dartmouth, NS. Also survived by her sister Jackie Richard, aunt Mary Bedford, sisters-in-law Blanche LeBlanc, Marion LeBlanc and Jennie LeBlanc, as well as several loved nieces and nephews and a very dear life-long friend Edith Bourgeois, all of Moncton, NB. Besides her parents Lorraine was predeceased by her devoted husband Gordon, and brothers Edgar, Raymond, and Henry. As per our mother's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated from St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church on Monday July 18th, 2011 at 11:00am with Father Allison Carroll officiating. There will be a reception held immediately following the mass in the church hall. Interment in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimers Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Bros.
