Obituary of Shirley Keith Russell
Shirley K. Russell, of Residence Adventure Elmwood Dr., and formerly of Milner Rd. Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday January 6, 2007 at the age of 83 years. Born in Kentville, NS on May 26, 1923 he was the son of the late Franklyn T. and Lillian (Vidito) Russell.
He was a veteran of WWII. He retired in 1981 from Irving Ltd.
Left with fond memories are his special friend of over 20 years Becky Storey; daughter Barb (David) Tabor of Apohaqui, NB; sons Frank (Marlene) Russell of Fredericton, and Edwin Russell of Ottawa; grandchildren Jonathan, Matthew, Sarah, Laura, Amy, Billy, Frankie, and Krista; sister Marguerite (Philip) LeBlanc of Halifax,NS, June (Ronald) Fiddick of Duncan BC; Brothers Roderick (Mary)Russell of Halifax,NS, Leo (Gertrude)Russell of Habitant Kings Co., Murdock (Gertie) Russell of Kentville, NS, and Burton Russell of Kentville, NS. Also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife of over 40 years Florence Ada (Mercer) in 1982; Brothers Courtney and Garth; sisters Syliva Carter, Joyce Caldwell, Leona Russell and an infant sister Marion.
Viewing and visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. on Monday January 8, 2007 from 7:00-9:00pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6 will be holding a prayer service on Monday evening at 7:00pm at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery on Tuesday January 9, 2007 at 11:00am with Rev. Carol Mullin officiating.
In Shirley's memory, donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society, or the memorial of the donors choice.
